Join together with skaters, family, and friends to stay active and support Mirror Images by participating in the annual MI5K/BBQ. All proceeds benefit the Mirror Images teams and go towards future team building events. We have three ways to participate - virtual walk or run with time submission by September 9th, sponsor a skater, or walk/run at the event on September 10th and enjoy the BBQ post-race. To take part, all you have to do is:

1. Register for the event and indicate if you plan to complete the 5K before September 10th at a location of your choosing (virtual option), or if you would like to complete the 5K at Fellows Park in person starting anytime after 11:00 am.  Suggested start times for teams: 11:00 am Aspire, 11:15 am Preliminary, 11:25 am Open Juvenile and Intermediate
   
2. Wear #MI gear during your 5K or participate in the MI team specific themes.
3. If you complete the 5K prior to September 10th, submit your name, location, time, and finish photo to Mirror Images ([email protected]) by September 9, 2022, by midnight EST.  If you walk or run the 5K on the 10th, timing is on your honor. 
4. Check the leaderboard to see the time to beat for overall female, male, and youth categories. 

MI5K t-shirts will be available as well as other MI apparel. Select prizes will be awarded to the top male, female, and skater participants. Skaters who bring in $10 of sponsorship will receive a vinyl sticker or pin. Skaters who bring in $30 or more, receive an MI hat. Follow #MI5K on Facebook and Instagram for more details. To be eligible for prizes, you must register to participate and submit your finish times by midnight on September 9th, 2022.

Following the event, MI is having a BBQ picnic and alumni, families, and current skaters are encouraged to attend this kick-off gathering. A sign-up genius link will be posted soon for people to bring items.
